The Prismatic Sound Modeling in the TD-50X brings electronic drums to life like no other system, infusing multi-layer samples recorded in world-class studios with sophisticated behavior modeling techniques refined over more than two decades.

The kit configuration includes the TD-50X drum sound module, a PD-140DS digital snare, three PDX-100 tom pads, a VH-14D hi-hat, a CY-14C-T crash cymbal, a CY-16R-T crash cymbal, a CY-18DR ride cymbal, and a KD-140-BC kick pad, all supported by the MDS-GND2 drum stand. Additionally, there are five extra trigger input jacks (TOM 4, AUX 1-AUX 4) for further customization.

Our breakthrough digital pad technology, coupled with Prismatic Sound Modeling, fully realizes the vast expressive potential of electronic drumming. Multi-sensor detection in the snare, ride, and hi-hat pads, combined with the lightning-fast processing of the TD-50X module, brings authentic acoustic nuance and detail to these core kit pieces.

The TD-50K2 features Roland's renowned multi-ply mesh heads, with a three-layer head on the snare and two-layer heads on the toms, providing natural stick resistance and rebound for an ultra-satisfying feel and response. You can easily adjust the tension to your preference using a standard drum key, just like on acoustic drums.

The three 10-inch tom pads and the KD-140 kick pad strike the perfect balance between reduced size and authentic playability, while the 14-inch and 16-inch crash cymbal pads offer large-diameter playing surfaces and thin profiles for a natural feel and swinging motion. The streamlined and rugged MDS-Grand 2 stand provides ample clearance, allowing you to upgrade to a full-size V-Drums kick like the KD-180 or KD-220 if desired.

Customize your kit at every level, from quick tuning and muffling adjustments to building a kit from the ground up by selecting shell depths, drumhead types, cymbal characteristics, and more. Then, use the PureAcoustic Ambience feature to place your kit in the virtual space of your choice, with full control over room type, reverberation, stereo width, and other parameters.
